I find it drops stitches, too, unless I'm very careful on the first row to go slowly and on every row thereafter to not press to hard in any direction. I had to take off the row counter because I needed to press back hard to get it to register the rows but that made the carriage jam and drop stitches. After the first couple of hats I got back into the swing of it and now it's fairly easy to work with. Good luck -- I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how much faster you go!Splindarellahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00572241213337415316noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16936809.post-1163795901054108982006-11-17T15:38:00.000-05:002006-11-17T15:38:00.000-05:00Wow, I'll steer clear of that movie as it's one of...Wow, I'll steer clear of that movie as it's one of the only John Cusack movies that I have never seen. My favorite movie is Say Anything.

"I gave her my heart and she gave me a pen."

Thanks for all your work on the Soaring Eagles Project!Procrastiknitterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03333608564625687338noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16936809.post-1163793535021589912006-11-17T14:58:00.000-05:002006-11-17T14:58:00.000-05:00Thank you for the congrats! =) I am thinking about...Thank you for the congrats! =) I am thinking about doing the surprise jacket after seeing and reading this: http://bloggybabybumpers.blogspot.com/2006/11/rainy-day-sweater.html
I think that is the most beautiful surprise jacket I've ever seen. I might try it in a handspun instead...though buying koigu is very tempting =) I also need to check out that Mason Dixon book next time I am at Borders - it keeps popping up so I am intrigued!

So I have an earflap and some pom-poms to finish on a hat that I am handknitting for SEP and then I will dig out the machine and give it another whirl. From what I remember, it drove me crazy the first time (I kept dropping stitches)! Wish me luck for a better experience this time! =)Tonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05099377041207310834noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16936809.post-1163749815957539992006-11-17T02:50:00.000-05:002006-11-17T02:50:00.000-05:00I am totally with ya on the Ice Harvest! I guess everyone is allowed a dud or two...

The hats look great btw! You are crushing my slow hand knitting lol. And making me consider getting my USM out of the fiber closet where it has been gathering dust. I have so many things going right now but I would like to be able to contribute alot of hats-this could be the answer! You're so smart! hehe=)
Keep up the great work!
ToniTonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05099377041207310834noreply@blogger.com
